New Coheed & Cambria song prog metal?

I get it.....but just the vibe I got from part of the thread was "oh, they're copying Green Day and going from "emo" to making a concept album," and I wanted to set that straight.

Okay. The point was just that all of the albums were part of a concept. It sounded to me like some people thought all of a sudden they went from being pop to doing concept albums, but they were doing them before 'American Idiot.'
I wasn't trying to correct you, or anything, just relaying what I'd read about the way the story would be presented on the albums.

It really has nothing like Stratovarius imo, but we'll let that pass... LOL

I'm not into the band simply because I can't stand their style, so called "Emo". If I am to listen to somewhat whiny music, Sonata Arctica does the job way fucking better... lol

have you listened to the song, it's not emo. DUde, their is an extremely obvoius Strato influence there, you my sir are quite confused I thinks. :Smug:

Wait, now I realize I really DID listen to the wrong song... I thought it was this song I heard on the radio by this band today... I missed the link above..

Now that I'm listening to it, It does remind me of Strato indeed..

Since it is not a show full of death metal bands at the Masquerade, I may not be as skeered. :loco:

Come down to the Montreal/Vancouver room in the Hyatt sometime this weekend - I'll be running the goth and horror lit programming.
