New Custom Dingwall bass day - Afterburner 6 w/wenge neck and eyeball-frying finish

I don't often post in "NGD" threads, but I have to say, this one got my attention. Very impressive looking bass, and that DI clip blew me away in terms of the clarity, stability, and harmonic richness of the raw instrument tone. Great playing as well!

Sick looking bass and just the kind of tone you'd want to have with bass DI. Amazing! Any chance to demo some playing with pick? Cheers.

yeah, I thought it looks very narrow (which I quite like actually).
is this your first fanned fret? I tried a DIngwall in a store once and found it suprisingly easy to get around the fretboard.

what's the body wood?

Nah, I have two other Dingwalls that have been my main basses for a while now :)
The body is alder on this one.

Awesome, I feel privileged, cheers!

I've said it before, amazing clarity!!!!
And it should make a very thunderous ROAR!!!!

Hehe cheers Eddy, that it does :)

my ears could jizz when i listened to Karnivool riff :yow:

Yeah, something really primitively satisfying about that bassline. Sounds so good on the record too, one of my favourite bass tones for sure. Crazy that it was recorded with a P-bass, didn't expect that given Jon's normal Warwick Thumbs he uses.

I'm impressed. That bass has A LOT more clarity than I thought it would being tuned so low.

Must say, not digging the color choice, especially when the wood grain on the neck looks so epic, but it sure does sound great!

i thought at first it's Warwick Thumbs, but the sound of Jon's P-bass seems very suitable with Andrew guitar and the kick drums.
anyway your bass sounds very clear even on the heaviest string, typical Dingwall :worship:
