My friend, Pete, who owns Arena Drums in Canada has made me a brand new custom snare drum! I'm so grateful and wanted to share some pics of it! I don't have it yet, but I did find these shots of it on his myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/arenadrums ) that he posted before he shipped it out! He burns the images into the wood. :kickass:

I do, I do....

Umm you aren't gonna shred your knees on the pointy parts are you? :err: They appear to stick out a bit further than normal hardware.

I tend to hate bumping old threads on forums, but I couldn't resist saying that this is the coolest shit I've seen in quite a while. I'm afraid that my legs do go that high, so good thing you got the spikes.

Thanks Jack! It sounds great too! Warmer than the snare I normally use cuz it's a maple snare as opposed to my birch snares.

Call me crazy, but I've always wanted a maple piccolo snare as a second snare on a kit. As we were discussing at the Fairbanks show, I already do more of a rimshot most of the time. But imagine what that would sound like on a piccolo!
