if anyone cares Paracletus just dropped and i must say, this album is tits.

my only complaint is the new vocalist. doesnt match fas or chaining the katechon. other than that w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!

this band never clicked with me. kinda seems like a wall of chaotic noise that i soon stop paying attention to, and switch to something else after a few songs. maybe i try to listen when im in the wrong mood? maybe this new one can buck the trend!?

Listen to Si Monumentum. Its way less chaotic, and one of the best black metal records of all time. And the new one is less chaotic than Fas, so is the Chaining the Katechon EP. I like the new one more than Fas.

I have Fas and the same problem as Neal. I've tried on several occasions.

Vocalist is Mikko Aspa, just like it has been since Si Monumentum.

Paracletus is basically an expanded take on the songwriting of Chaining the Katechon, imo it perfectly mixes the chaos of Fas with the emotional aspects of Si Monumentum. My AOTY for sure.

Even though I only listened to it once, I agree with that. A possible album of the year candidate.

guess i forgot to report back that it did indeed buck the trend. this album is awesome! like azal sez, great balance of melody and chaos. in fact, im gonna put it on now!
