New Deicide being produced by Mark Lewis

It seems that you guys are not huge fans of old school death metal. Well, to each their own.

Personally I'd rather listen to Deicide all day that have to go through any of the current -core bands and their "awesome" break-downs.

I'd still like to hear a report on this recording.

The aim of Deicide's satanism has always been to aggravate christians.
Maybe it was different back in the day when people were more naive, but I find it hard to believe that anyone except fundamentalist christians would think otherwise.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it as I quite enjoyed their last album.

Hahaha I just came totally on the Deicide trip..didn´t listen to em since probably over a year. And when I hear the songs of "Serpents of the light" I ask me seriously...why! This album is far the best of em imo, I agree Chris^

Really? So, all the things he said 20 years ago was just bollocks?

I dunno, Jevil..but I guess. I read interviews in the 90´s I thought, he COULD not be serious. He said things, like..."when I go shopping, I like to bump into old women with my shopping trolley..just to bash them after they nagging me, beacause auf that"

Does he really seem like the sort of guy who would take something seriously enough to kill himself over it?

I'm astonished.
There was a documentary on TV in 1991 called "Dancing With The Devil", about rock, metal, satan... I was just teenager and I was impressed...and I thought this guy was a total prick, cause the things he said.

But what about those rumors of him shooting squirrels on stage and torturing animals?

Once Upon the Cross is brutal. In Torment in Hell has some really good songs (and some mediocre ones), but the production on that album is soooo bad it hurts hahaha

Stench of redemption definitely was a HUGE step up in terms of production and lead guitar playing (although I hate Jack Owen´s leads), but I didn´t get that much into it, the classic stuff on the other hand is that: classic
