New Deicide being produced by Mark Lewis

I'm astonished.
There was a documentary on TV in 1991 called "Dancing With The Devil", about rock, metal, satan... I was just teenager and I was impressed...and I thought this guy was a total prick, cause the things he said.

But what about those rumors of him shooting squirrels on stage and torturing animals?

Haha I just saw, he´s on facebook  Maybe we can ask him. I can´t exactly say, if there is any kind of crazyness or insanity in his character or just pretty fucked up & funny christ rapin´ humor  The only thing I can say is...I´m a Glen Benton fan!

That's the thing though dude there is NO message, it's just supposed to get under the skin of people who believe their is any genuine satanic message

as immature as it is, I do love the commitment he's shown to it.....

Legion sounds so tight it's unbelievable. I met Benton in 2004 and I can assure you the man has an incredible sense of hunour... Unlike this guy from Basque Country who keeps wondering.

Bentons "Satan" shit is just him rebelling against his christian upbringing. Hes not a TRUE Satanist in the actual sense. He does it just to piss people off. Besides the band Slays. One of the best DM bands of all time. Right up there with Carcass for me. Calling Benton a satanist is like calling Bill Steer a surgeon.

It would be interesting if they shifted the Christian hate and started in on Islam. No band I think would have the balls unfortunately. Think once upon the cross with mohammed's image. And the list continues lots of things for them to pick on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_and_blasphemy
A great video would them on top of The Kaaba in Mecca with the crowd doing their pit thing.

The word Mohareb comes to mind.

Heh... what do i even say about this one? You guys will just have to wait.

I'll say that all members of deicide are some of our funniest guests at audiohammer. We are trying to convince them right a book... its that funny.

Deicide are just a brilliant band from a golden -era of music. It's a shame they just couldn't keep their shit together what with cancelling tours and releasing poxy albums just to get out of a record deal. If they kept going with the same intensity they had around Once Upon The Cross they'd have been the biggest DM band in the world. Love Deicide especially Legion. Can't wait for this new one.

Thanks for that. Any info you could share with us? Is Jack Owen the only guitarist recording? Cheers.

Jack played the rhythms, ralph played the leads. The music is definitely the most tech they've been since Legion. Some of its pretty fuckin ridiculous... there is some riffs that are just sick... some of it very straightforward and some of it really really original.

The drumming is just berzerko. Cool overheads on this one. Steve uses some pretty different cymbals from everyone else.

Didn't konw Ralph was gonna be on this one, thought Kevin from Order Of Ennead took over from him. Most technical since Legion??? I'm very interested now.

I reckon with Mark producing (actually producing? or just mixing) and Ralph playing leads, this could work out to be one of the sickest Deicide albums ever.

IMO the Stench of Redemption was an excellent sort of 'comeback' but didn't stand up to repeat listenings because the songs just weren't all that well written. Hopefully Mark has helped em round the sounds out a little better this time and I always enjoy Ralphs lead playing. I'm sure the mix will be heavy as balls too!
