No, it was programmed by hand in DFHS by a friend of mine. It's mostly just beats copied and pasted over and over with little things changed here and there. But even like that, it sounds damn good. I have drummer friends that I have shown this to that to this very day, still call me a liar when I tell them it's programmed.

In all honesty, they are both great drum programming sample-sets, they both have their place and it is really just a matter of taste as to what kind of sounds you want. IMO DFHS has a shitload more sounds, but that doesn't necessarily make it any *better* than BFD, just tehcnically more extensive. My preference is DFHS, and you can see why.

Very good programming 006. Sounds like what solo from a drummer in a fusion band would sound like. Anywho, I'm more keen on DFHS because, to me, its more flexable, and sounds better for metal and harder stuff than BFD ever did. Plus once you start getting into using room reverbs on DFHS, thats a whole other beast to make it sound even more like a "real" guy behind the set. :headbang:

I feel the same way. Like I said, to me, DFHS is just more extensive and elaborate about everything. I've heard some really great stuff using BFD, and I've heard some really great stuff with DFHS. Honestly, I'd rather say the two are tied for 1st when it comes to the kingdom of drum sample libraries. I don't think anything else out there even holds a candle to the pair. Either way you go, DFHS or BFD, you've got a massive tool at your disposal.

LOL. True. To elaborate on my previous post, in summary, I don't think it's fair to either of the libraries to say one is better than the other. They are both amazing libraries, it's really a matter of personal preference between them. Now if you were asking FruityLoops vs. DFHS...yeah, DFHS. But DFHS vs. BFD, not really fair.

That said, I would really like to have a Fibes clear kit or some Ayotte peices for my DFHS library, but beggars can't be choosers :p

Sounds good.... Regardless of BFD or DFHS. Both can sound good, but I think DFHS sounds gooder...

Nice work on the clip, even though Metallica is the bane of my existence.

Cameltoe..

Sounds amazing man!

Could you elaborate a bit on how you got this out of DFHS.. the kick and snare sound really good to me.. snare is nice and thick, and the kick pumps just enough.
What drumkit did you use?
EQ? compression?

Cheers.. sounds really good..

Yeah BFD man...

I have used DFHS and was not able to get that fat ass snare sound from it...or a big monster kick. Not saying it isnt possible. But I wasnt able to get the sound I was looking for from DFHS.
