New drums from ToonTrack!!!!

I'm about to click on it, but I was under the impression that DFH2 was an "LE" version of DFHS? Checking it out now.

It's like if Fruity Loops tried to make a multi-sample set of files. Seems kinda...not up to par with the other ToonTrack stuff. But thats just me, I'm sure it's good for scratch stuff, but I wouldn't use it. I'll stick to my trusty DFH2 and Superior.

I'm all about boasting Toontrack stuff but the samples were far from impressive.

I hope they don't stray far from superior.

i believe DFH2 was released first, so essentially it's just a primitive version of DFHS...but i could be mistaken

i like DFH2 quite a bit, i've been able to get some decent drum sounds from it (not as good as some of the stuff i've heard others do :yuk: ) and it's given me a lot of insight as to how i might wanna approach mixing acoustic drums next time i'm at it

Not so lame. What I've learnt from using DFHS and BFD (which are both great softwares imo) is that you don't need tons of layers, mic bleed, room sound to get the right sound for modern metal. You just have to find the right balance between machine gun hits and real life playing (not trying to go deep in absolute realism)and use the direct micing in first place to keep the sound focused. So this new ezdrummer seems to be a good idea to me.
Of course, if you already have DFHS, CV or/and BFD xfl, deluxe, I don't see the point.
