From their myspace:

"Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM have set "From Afar" as the title of their fourth album, due on September 9 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was produced by Tero Kinnunen (NIGHTWISH, AMORPHIS) and Janne Joutsenniemi ('Victory Songs' producer) and was mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, SENTENCED, AMORPHIS).

The track listing for the CD is as follows:

01. By The Dividing Stream
02. From Afar
03. Twilight Tavern
04. Heathen Throne
05. Elusive Reaches
06. Stone Cold Metal
07. Smoking Ruins
08. Tumman Virran Taa
09. The Longest Journey (Heathen Throne Part II)
10. Vandraren (limited-edition bonus track; NORDMAN cover)"

Did anyone else know about this?
This totally came out of the blue for me when my mate told me.

I'm looking forward to this, Ensiferum are my favourite folk metal band.
I just hope this is better than 'Victory Songs', I thought that album was weak, (No Jari) compared to their first two.

Lets hope they can still write good stuff without Jari, I can't wait to hear it!

I heard about this a while back, one of my fav folk metal bands aswell dude,
agree 100% victory songs were missing that Jari magic :worship:
Im no sure they can keep up the high standards of the previous songs without him but defo looking forward to this anyways.

well tbh the new ensiferum should be treated as a totally different band, since they only have one member left from their previous lineup. Their sound changed dramatically after Iron, and I am not even talking about vocals.
