I have to admit I've never actually given this band a chance before.
Like Jarkko, was under the impression it was some super generic metalcore band with the gay whining clean choruses and the melo-death rip off riffs, so I avoided them for a long time but this band is actually kinda dirty in a good way. Reminds me a little of Converge in a way, but a bit more 'southern' sounding and not quite as 'raw', but still actually has some testicles unlike most of today's 'metalcore'.
Production is pretty cool too.

It's amazing how many people have never checked out this band because of their name, I can definitely understand why it's misleading though! If anyone is a fan of this check out their album "The Big Dirty."

Still not feeling Joe's work here. Mostly the guitars being too smooth, as others have pointed out. Also don't like the snare sound at all, sounds like just a high end tick, not enough body for me. I just expected something different when I saw "Joe Barresi + ETID." *shrug*

I agree man except for your comment about the snare, I'm hearing heaps of body where I'm listening to it. Tonally I'd change a few things about this record but to me the vibe is perfect and the way everything sits together is awesome, perfect for turning up really freaking loud.

Yeah, this is definitely one of those albums you have to crank up to get the most out of it. There's tons of low-frequency awesomeness in there!

Their singer is so siiiiiick !!!

Too bad he's overdoing things and repeating the same gimmicks over and over.

If he was a little more creative and had more of a "less is more" approach he would be one of my favs.

His screams are insane, and it sounds like he does this with no effort, as if he was the bastard child of Lou Koller from Sick Of It All and a regular (means clean/crunch vocals) rock singer.
