Ok, here we go! Some time ago i´ve posted some IR´s of a cobra cab. But those were made with an old unknown tube amp (Not that bad but...). Now i made a second batch trough the fx-return of a cobra head. Please tell me if they are usable and if i´m on the right way. I made a short clip with some DI´s i found here around. Guitar suite TS -> 7170 -> my (Framus Cobra Cab+Head 57 Both 2.wav) IR. Zero post processing.
In the RAR are 6 Impulses. 3 IR`s, 2x57 top left, top right and both. And 3 further afar from thea Dustcp.
Tomorrow i will made fredman ones! Please give me feedback, thanks in advance.

sound very good IMHO.
THX!

EDIT: damn, just tried to convert them into Axe-Fx format...only 48 Khz sample rate supported...:(

Ok guys... first i have to say thanks for the reply´s and interest. I never thought i could beat any other impulses esp. the chatarsis ones. It´s more a, "fuck, there must be a way to achieve a good impulse with this stack and mic´s!" ( By the way, it´s not mine. I only annoyed somebody to give me the chance to do some IR´s. What i recognized is, that the low-end sucks (Also in the past) and it´s massive on ryan´s ones. Under the analyser, this "cab" decreased exactly at 80hz down to neverland. For me the problem must be the cab, cause i tried three different amps (old eccholette, Bugera 333, Framus Cobra) with the same low-end problem (I cranked the deep knob!). The box is loaded with celestion greenbacks, maybe i will have a go on another cab in future.
First i thought threre´s a highpass on the top speakers, cause they sound really higher than the bottom ones. But it isn´t, the bass region is almost the same on all speakers. The only difference lies in the midrange and highs.

Well, i´ve made fredman-style ones too, on the top-speakers wich sound a tad better. One tip: Try to crank the sweep button on 7170<->8580 all the way right to get a good result. On almost all other IR´s i have to turn the sweep vise versa to the left to achieve good results. Anyway freaky.
Later i´ll upload the fredman ones...

PS: I don´t know if Voxengo Deconvolver supports 48khz, but i will try it.

hey metalmiller thanks for the impulses! sound good to me. and dude dont be to hard whit yourself.i know is hard to do something beeter that ryans impulses but at least you are try to do something! who knows? maybe if you keep try"n this way you can achieve something awsome.

pd: forgive me if its something wrong whit my english.xd

Alright, here are the last ones. Includes top-right with bottom-right IR´s wich sounds interesting, and also the fredman ones. I made a short clip too. Now the chain was: TSS -> GS TS -> 8550 -> Boogex (Framus Cobra Cab+Head 57 TL Fred 6.1.1_dc.wav) -> C4 -> EQ (just two narrow cuts around 125hz and 200hz to get rid of some boom).

Different DI´s, now from a ALID cover...

stupid question but what exactly is sweep doing? I dont hear a noticable difference when I load up my DI's for reamping.

The sweep knob (7170, 8550, SoloC) shapes the sound/character of the tone. It´s mostly noticable in the mid and high frequencies. Think with the sweep you can tweak where your mid knob (how much hz) is working. When your mid knob are untouched the difference are less dramatic. Hope this makes a little sense....
