This one will be Grip, Inc., Inc.

I KNEW I wasn't the only Grip Inc fan on this board.
First new record in a couple years. Pretty exciting.

Sooner or later the rest of the world will come to
their bloody senses and realize how truly awesome Grip Inc is.

99. That was for the Solidify tour. Their last record. Solidify was pretty
weak as far as their music goes. I took a pass on that show.
How was the show?

SAW THEM TWICE..ONCE IN CORONA OPENING FOR MORBID ANGEL (ON THE FIRST CD TOUR)..AND THEN AGAIN IN ANAHEIM FOR THEIR THIRD CD.

GOOD FUCKING SHIT..I GOT SOME PICS SOMEWHERE I TOOK WITH A DISPOSABLE..I SHOULD PUT THEM ON MY SITE.

I caught them on their first tour opening for Morbid Angel in 95, it was
at the Trocadero. We got to say hello to Gus Chambers who was walking
around. He drank with us for a little and upon the exchange of shittalking
with my buddy's girlfriend, Gus whipped his nutsack out. My buddy and I
missed it as we were watching Morbid Angel from the balcony. Then
Gus walked over to the corner of the balcony and urinated.

ha ha.
good story with the gus and the pissing.

maybe seeing this thread a few days ago inspired me, i dunno - i finished listening to 1st grip cd about an hour ago. awesome

hostage to heaven still remains their best song to date.

yes, one more Grip Inc fan on the 'board!!!

i see em firstly with Kreator in 95 which was mega (also my first kreator gig, so i was well chuffed), then again at a smaller club gig in london headlining with Skinlab supporting.
they played Rusty Nail which was great.

i constantly get reminded of that gig, as i was quite drunk - not knowing how realistically huge californians are, i muttered under my breath that steev esquivel was a bit of a fat bastard. :OMG:
little did i know he had the ears of a hawk, came over to us, had my neck in a vice-like sleeper hold, and said in THE calmest voice ever 'unless you and your friends don't wanna get beat up, i suggest you shut the fuck up'

it was a class moment. yeah, he was havin a larf, but i was concerned to say the least.

metal memories eh??

That song is so heavy! I love most of that album, let alone one song.

HA HA! I love that story! Steev Esquivel is a pretty cool dude. I love Skinlab.
I got to be one of the extras moshing the stage in their vid off of "Second
Skin: Disembody The New Flesh" Steev's got a really mellow voice.
Except when he's singing.
