I'm picking up the Wii version tomorrow.
have two days off and want to make the most of it.
the set list looks very cool.
also, rumours of an Iron Maiden game/add-on for the new GH/Rock Band games featuring full vocals, drums, bass and guitar.
hope that comes out.

I heard a whisper that says the rockband drumkit will work on ps2. Cant understand why, seeing as how they are in competition with each other

think that's confused.
supposedly the 360 versions rock band and GH's kits and gear will work on each other but not the same with the PS3 version.
there is actually Rock Band PS2 but it's meant to be pretty pov, even compared to the Wii version.

picked up the Wii version of the new GH game.
pretty much like the previous ones but with customisation up it's arse.
the new fret board is interesting and the drums are bloody hard to get used to (especially if you didn't go to the tute and decided to play Overkill by Motorhead).
but it's still fun and such to play.

played some of the career today FUCKING BOORRRIINNGGG! well the first few gigs are, its all commercial pop-rock shit that doesn't all any good guitar riffs, didn't grab me at all.

it does get a lot better.
just annoyed that you have to pay to unlock the awesome Tool stage.
also find that if you just use the early stages with the crap songs as practice and ways to get cash to unlock the good stuff, you stay focused more.
the Zakk Wylde battle and following Black Label Society song (Stillborn) are really cool.

Got Guitar Hero World Tour today. Nice. Only played the drums so far - takes a while getting used to, and the reports of the cymbals not being very sensitive are unfortunately true, but hopefully a bit of tinkering with their innards will fix it.

At least if kids get good at that game, their parents might be right in thinking it will be somewhat of a smooth transition to picking up an actual guitar.
