A friend referred me to these forums a while back and I've finally decided to join in. I frequent The Boogie Board, but I need more direct knowledge when it comes to home recording and whatnot. This looked like the place to be when it comes to metal in general so here I am.
I'm just getting ready to start demoing material for my bands next album. So, I'll be searching the forum and chiming periodically. I could use some help looking for good threads (current or past) for recording guitars, vocals (clean and harsh), as well as triggering live drums into a program such as BFD2. I currently DI all of my guitars via the Palmer PDI03 and use Redwirez, Recabinet3, and other programs, but it would be great to learn more about the techniques behind different sounds.
