New Ibanez Expanded RGA Line

Not sure if you guys saw, but Ibanez has added some more guitars to the RGA lineup, including 7 and 8 string models!

I haven't been too excited about Ibanez in recent years, but these guitars look killer. Ibanez is back!

Looking at the curve on the graph it just looks like a scoop button.

Is there any logical reason you would even want that? I thought it was some noise canceling device. haha Wouldn't that wreck any sort of tone?

Depends on what you're going for, and depends on what you're plugged into. I'm not going to knock it until I try it, although I definitely see it as unnecessary. In any case, these guitars look amazing.

I've played 8s before and they honestly don't feel unusual or weird. It's just a guitar with more strings, not something out of this earth.
I only have medium-ish size hands and the neck on a Schecter C-8 Hellraiser was super comfy and ultra playable, and the Ibanez necks are even thinner than that

we have an rg 8 , i already tried it out and it feels like a toy compared to the rg2228. the pickups sound muddy, acutally we had to return the first rg8 we received, because there was
no signal coming from the pickups... second one works fine now.

i cant really say i would recommend buying one.
