badass.

I haven't seen the new Batman, but the original with Keaton was utterly brilliant. I don't want my movies to be comic booky like Batman and Robin. That was just lame. I'm even skeptical of this new Superman movie coming out. Seriously man, they're just gonna redo the entire story with 2000s technology. The original is a masterpiece and can't be touched.

I'm tired of all these comic book movies. Fantastic 4 looks stupid. I haven't seen all the new comic book movies, but the few I have seen (the two X-Men movies, The Hulk, Spider-Man), none have been worth seeing more than once. Never bothered seeing Elektra, Daredevil, Spider-Man 2, Hellboy, etc.

actually Superman is called Superman Returns. Its based 6 years after the last movie.

I guess that'll be tolerable, but whatcha wanna bet the actor will be younger than Christopher Reeve was at that time? Gotta keep the sequal machine running.

Did you know they were looking at Brendan Frasier as Superman? Fucking Brendan Frasier.

I must say, not a bad pick. He does have a Christopher Reeve look to him. I'll still see it, because Supes is my fave among comic book heroes. Much better than Brendan Frasier. Good god man, what were they thinking....

while I don't think you can beat Supes 1 & 2, I do hope this new one is better than 3 and the crapfest that was 4.

X-Men 2 was better than the first one, but the main problem I have is this: nothing is ever solved. Even by the end of part 2, nothing is solved. So Wolverine knows his origins, big friggin' deal. Each side loses or gains some mutants and Magneto and that morphing chick get away, just like in part one. It is cool to see them on screen, but I need something to happen. Rght now it just feels the director is dragging because he knows he can make 10 sequels and people will go see all of them.

I know I'm nitpicking, but I'm picky with my movies.

That being said, when the hell is SPidey gonna fight Venom? That's the one I wanna see.

don't take the "comic-book" comparison as a bad thing. If anything, the comic comparison to batman begins is for the immersive storytelling elements (you know, like a really addictive comicbook) rather than kiddie dumbed-down entertainment (like a fuckin' Betty and Veronica double digest). If anything, Batman and Robin movies are closer to the Keaton movies than Batman Begins... and that's saying something.

I saw Batman Begins in an imax (yes) on Monday night... it totally and completely kicked my ass, which I didn't expect in any way, shape, or form.

... just thought I'd throw that out on the table. I'm too lazy to dig up that thread.
