Finntroll starts, gets more and more polka as more members get sick/die. Wintersun mixes Finntroll and Bodom styles leading to ensiferum. Thus leads to bands like Korpiklaani. End of story.

I love folk and viking metal. However Korpiklaani has not impressed me in the past and I probably won't be getting this new one. Who said folk metal has to be happy anyway? Asmegin, Equilibrium, Empyrium...
