Wow, interesting, I love Mastodon!
It was quite catchy in the chorus haha, guess that's the "hit song" from the new album. I expect the other songs to be better I guess, not that this one was bad but it was kinda... well, just not so "new" from them, except for the chorus. The solo was also something I reacted on... dunno if they've had those types of solos before, so it kinda caught my attention.
MySpace sound sucks but from what I could hear, it was a bit dark in the overall sound which is really nice sometimes. Quite ringy snare too... a bit different from the snare on Leviathan.
Well let's just say I'm definately looking forward to the new album atleast!

Everybody seems to say that Mastodon is either love or hate, but I and a few of the people I hang out with think they're alright. I enjoyed Leviathan enough to listen to it maybe 20 times, but Blood Mountain I kinda forgot about. Heard it all the way through maybe 3 or 4 times. They're pretty talented but I'm always forgetting about them in favor of something else.
