The King Crimson influence is starting to become more apparant while the section at 2:40 sounds Alice In Chains-ish.

hmmm this sounds pretty good so far. the last time i listened to them was last summer because they kinda wore off on me. then i saw them at the unholy alliance tour and the blew my mind. their live performance definately changed my mind on their music. now im thinking of seeing them when the headline the US

Mastodon rules, this album will definately solidify them as a true force in metal. Here's hoping they overthrow Lamb of God. Then of course Nevermore can pwn them both with their next album!
