Yes that's right, there is a new song to d/l on the official site http://www.megadeth.com/ go get it! Definitely much much has improved over Mustaine's absence. Sounds like it coulda come from R.I.P. or Countdown (if that had been a little heavier)

interesting.

riffs are much more technical than the last couple of records. Too bad the song itself seems boring and uninspired to me on the first listen.

not bad ... pretty groovy and technical.
but Megadeth has bored me for a long time now

i feel ya, i lost interest in Megadeth when Youthanasia came out and never looked back. This song at least leaves some room for hope that things will be getting better. It's not overly impressive but at least it's more listenable than anything they've done in recent years.

Better than anything since..Kill the king :)
I think it's a good track, and the production is better than TWNAH.

To all you Megadeth gurus.

Is Killing is My Business... any good? I know where I can get the original Combat Records release for $9

Yay or nay?

YES.

It is very raw though, keep that in mind. If it has These Boots Were Made for Walking (I think that may have been tape only) I'll buy it from you if you don't like it.

Mechanix is just a bit too fast for my liking, and the lyrics are ridiculous!

Four Horseman has that whole "Famine!" and "Pestilence!" bit with the cool slowed-down interlude.

Hahaha that's funny, you referred to a thrash song as "too fast."

The middle section of Four Horsemen contains some of my favorite Burton work, but I just dig how Mechanix sounds like it could derail at any second.

I know it sounds weird, but because I heard Four Horsemen first, Mechanix sounded like Four Horsemen on high-speed dubbing. (Remember when you could do tape to tape recording on high-speed dubbing, and it would sound like those disney chipmunk fuckers during the recording process? Well, something like that.)

The lyrics to Mechanix are still stupid regardless. :loco:

IMAGINE YOU WERE AT MY STATION
AND YOU BROUGHT YOUR MOTOR TO ME
YOUR A BURNER YEAH A REAL MOTOR CAR
SAID YOU WANNA GET YOUR ORDER FILLED
MADE ME SHIVER WHEN I PUT IT IN
PUMPING JUST WON'T DO YA KNOW LUCKILY FOR YOU
WHO EVER THOUGH YOU'D BE BETTER
AT TURNING A SCREW THAN ME
I DO IT FOR MY LIFE
MADE MY DRIVE SHAFT CRANK
MADE MY PISTONS BULDGE
MADE MY BALL BEARINGS MELT FROM THE HEAT
WE WERE SHIFTING HARD WHEN WE TOOK OFF
PUT TONIGHT ALL FOUR ON THE FLOOR
WHEN WE HIT TOP END YA KNOW IT FEELS TOO SLOW
I'M GIVING YOU MY ROOM SERVICE
AND YA KNOW IT'S MORE THAN ENOUGH
OH ONE MORE TIME YA KNOW I'M IN LOVE

Incredible, when you think that 2 weeks earlier he'd written "Looking Down the Cross".

Very fond childhood memories of that, we used to dub shit all the time. I love CDs but they are so damn sterile!

Yes of course Mechanix lyrics are very dumb, that's an objective fact. :loco:

Thank you Dave Mustaine, for being the only person EVAR to top Zeppelin's Trampled Under Foot as worst lyrics dealing with cars, although that's one of my favorite Zeppelin songs anyhow.
