New Member with a new song.

I think the clean spoken type vocals near the end of the song sound weak. It sounds like the vocalist is self conscious about doing them. Maybe retrack those vocal parts, possibly with some one else doing those vocal parts.

There’s my two cents

Thanks for the advice, I'm pretty sure we have some takes of him screaming that part. I'll look into it. Listening back, I can definatly see what you mean.

The drums and vocals could use some more reverb. The kick could use some high end and some more mid scooping. The snare and kick could come up in volume. The drums in general sound pretty dull. I'd try boosting some high frequencies on the entire drum bus. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies. I've actually noticed the dull drums. I brought some more high end into the snare and bassdrum tracks, as well as boosted the overheads. I'm going to experiment with the reverb later on. I'll post a new version of the mix tonight. THANKS!

Sounds a bit muddy, try boosting the highs on everything, also perhaps cutting some lowmids. Saturate those guitars a bit (PSP Mixsaturator is awesome, keeps guitars from sounding "dry"). Thicker vocals, sounds like you've cut too much around 200hz, or perhaps it's the mic.

I updated the link to a newer mix, although listening back I see some problems. Guitars are still a bit too dark and vox seem too loud... Would you guys agree?
