New Metalcore Song [+ Solo]

Good song....like Kev said "the Pod tone is just to damn harsh".....also there are noticable edits between parts.....you need to make those less noticable....

the beginning sounded like malevolent creation, my first thought was "oh, malevolent creation cover" because I downloaded the song and heard it about 15 minutes later, totally forgot what it was ;)

no malevolent creation but it's nice ;)
good sound.

Hey, the track sounds like very generic melodic death... not really hearing anything there to set you apart from the scene.

Production is good though. Have those guitars so in your face really brings out the digital quality of the PODxt which isn't so hot, but aside from that, things seem pretty cool. Maybe bring the rhythm guitars down a bit.... also its noticeable that you pulled the rhythm guitars down a shitload for the solo... the track loses power on account of that.

Good stuff Mendel the Metal Meastro!!

I think your riffs are so metal, they would probably rust in the rain..
that being said, i think the POD is kind of downgrading the riffs, i mean, i can just hear you struggling on the rhytm stuff, am i right?
(i know, i am not the one who should be talking about you switching to a real amp, since i have the bean as well, but i think we both agree we could use a real amp if we had either the space, the money, and no people around us who cant stand loud ass metal riffs at 3 in the morning, right?)

Anyway, cool song again man.. minor points of critique as always, i still feel there is too much compression on the master bus.. and the rhytm guitars that are being brought down in volume when the solo kicks in is indeed, like someone said earlier, making it lose some power..
Maybe you should use compression on the solo so it can break through the rhytm guitars without bringing down the rhytm guitars at all.. and maybe EQ will help as well.. mid, mid, or mid should help...

Thanks for sharing the good stuff!!

not bad.

production wise id say maybe make the bass blend with the guitar tone better. it sounds too deep in the mix to me. and turn down that solo.

songwise i think the solo is way to long for this sort of song. the songs loses momentum to me after a while during that solo.

WOW DUDES THX FOR YOUR COMMENTS !! sorry i couldnt comment so fast cuse school started again :D agin

about tht the guitartrack are ging down on the solo:
i think it happens automaticall cuse the solotrack is like on 4.16 db but if i would do it on 0.00 db i just can't her the lead guitar anyone know how to fix a problem like this ?

the struggling with the riffage is correct. some of the riffs are just so hard for me cause with the metalcore style you will like hold a root note while playing a melody and sometimes it's really, reallt stretchy.

btw dudes thx for liking the solo :D

@ seizure: DUDE :D Masum can have sex with me :D !?!?!

bobby: you are 100% correct, ithink i will just need a real amp . .. . . hey wait .. i think i do . . . i own a mode four !! hmm . .mayby i should go get a mic to mic a amp . .any recommends ? sm57 then ?

guys just i don't want to be ga or sht but, thank you guys so much for giving tips and stuff :D !!

cheers,

Mendel

Treat the lead like a lead vocal.....use a diffrent patch on you POD....such the lows out of it and up the mids.....this way when things are at the same level you can hear the solo CUT through.....it should not be a battle of volume more so a harmony of frequencies.....
