I love it, I could never get sick of Karlsson's writing style, pure genius imo. Amanda sounds fantastic, and Kiske... well there's no denying he's still got one of the greatest voices ever.
Kiske just looks like a bum. Is he trying to hide a bald spot? He looks like a slightly younger Sgt. Schultz. Apparently he "knows nothing" about getting dressed.
Fortunately none of that matters because you don't have to watch the video to enjoy the song.
I can't stand Epica, After Forever and that stuff - all the bands sound the same in that style ... I was thrilled when Epica had Amanda filling in for Simone on the SymX tour...
I love Epica...one of my favorite bands. So I was originally disappointed when Simone wasn't with them on that tour. But I was really impressed with Amanda as fill in and have started listening to her other material because of it.
And Symphony X freakin' RULED that show! Can't wait to see them again live.

I was thrilled when Epica had Amanda filling in for Simone on the SymX tour and I was pretty excited when Nightwish got rid of that "I've taken two classes in opera singing so that makes me a pro opera singer" Tarja.
There's something about that way of singing that just annoys me - it seems so forced. Amanda has a beautiful voice and she uses it perfectly. Can't say the same about the others.
What do you think of Floor Jansen though? She used to do the operatic stuff in the past (older After Forever especially), but her voice is much more power than opera. I mean, some of her performances post-Invisible Circles are jaw dropping. Check some of the stuff out, it may surprise you. I think Floor is much far ahead of the others, with maybe the exception of Amanda.
Yes and no ... the thing with Therion is that they were one of the "original" bands to use it (besides of course Celtic Frost, which was Therion's main inspiration) so it kind of goes with the music of Therion - I can't really imagine Therion without it. But yeah, it's the singing style that in general doesn't appeal to me.

I don't think much of her in general haha - it's just not my favorite style of singing so I gave up on AF very quickly and never bothered to check out their later stuff or her Revamp demos. She might be doing it differently these days - I simply wouldn't now.
