New Mix with Addictive Drums + Dirthead

This is my first time posting here, despite having joined the site a long time ago... The tone is a VSTi; Dirthead, which is designed to sound like an ENGL. Personally I don't really like the tone, despite being quad-tracked it doesn't have much punch. Also, Addictive Drums with my own preset.

I'm liking the sound overall! Good job. I do agree the guitars could have a little more punch. Maybe just increase their volume in the mix.

I quad-track Dirthead.

The settings are, to the best of my knowledge:

Input Gain: 12 o clock
Voicing: 4 o clock
Gain: 1 o clock
Bass: 12 o clock
Mid: 4 o clock
Treble: 2 o clock
Presence: 2 o clock
Output: 12 o clock

I use the cab model included on Dirthead.

I'd take a screenshot, but I'm at school. I'll update it later.

Also, most of the punchy, good tone comes from an EQ- 'Q', to be exact, in Nuendo 3.

hey dan... like the new clip alot too.. try using the impulses though i think you are limited by the default cab sim... look up voxengo boogex its free

I have Voxengo, but whenever I tried to use it, it distorted the sound horribly. Jay even helped me set it up, but it still sounded really bad. I tried using the ENGL v30 impulse, but now I have the GuitarHack ones.
