I like Tomas because he sounds like he's giving it 110% all the time. There's none of that standard metal growling where it's almost conservative because vocalists want to have a voice in 5 years time. Tomas is shredding it all the time, and I just love the intensity that gives the music.

Moonlapse got it spot on. Not only that he gives it his all, but that he Growls, he doesn't scream. That (to me) is why he sounds good, and better than most "modern extreme" metal vocalists/ frontmen.
What's happening to the PROPER growl? It's as if it's suddenly stuck in the brutal DM and has all but dissapeared from the melodic DM scene.
