New Odin's Court CD: TONY KAKKO on Guest Vox!

ODIN’S COURT is happy to announce a very special guest vocalist: TONY KAKKO (best known for his work with SONATA ARCTICA)! Tony will be providing additional lead vocals on one of ODIN’S COURT’S new songs: "Crownet" (samples of this and other new songs on homepage and MySpace).

Matt had this to say about Tony: "The first time I heard SONATA ARCTICA, I fell in love. Tony has such lush, unique vocals, and he has an instantly recognizable voice. And the band exhibits characteristics that make them stand out in their genre – infectious melodies, technical musicianship, and diversity. ECLIPTICA and SILENCE are two of my favorite metal albums, so to hear that voice on an ODIN’S COURT song is quite cool for me. With all the growth and success SONATA ARCTICA has seen in the past couple of years, I was honestly shocked and excited when Tony agreed to sing a song on our new CD! Such a nice human being with such a talent is rare. I can’t wait for folks to hear what he brought to the table!"

ODIN’S COURT is currently an independent band in search of a label for their new CD DEATHANITY, a concept album about the direction in which the human race is taking the planet.

The tune 'Volatilestial' sounds fuckin' SWEET!! The vocals sound awesome. And the song just grooves. Good stuff! As for getting Tony Kakko...very cool. I'd like to hear the whole song though. Hopefully i stumble upon some cash right around the time the album is ready. I'd love to give it a full listen.

On a side note.....i was cleaning out my wallet the other day and found an Odin's Court card. I was trying to remember where and how i got it....and my friend says "you don't remember eating pizza with the singer/guitarist and his lady from Odin's Court backstage at BARfest, he gave you that card"....i said "no......what???" I don't even remember it...but i don't think he would make something like that up. And that explains how i got the card. So ROCK ON MAN! I hope to see OC again here in Northern California soon. You guys got the night started off right back at BARfest. I honestly enjoyed the set...and that i remember.

Thanks so much for the kind words! I can't wait for you and others to hear the whole CD! I may be impartial, but it really does ROCK! It's something I'd like to put on and listen to even if I wasn't involved with it - "big" production and such.
