Yeah, I've heard it. It's quickly becoming my favorite Poison the Well album, I'm not disappointed in the slighest, I'm in fucking rapture. It's without a doubt their heaviest album and it's so ugly, dissonant, and hateful. It's far angrier than anything they've done, and some of the songs almost reach to the level of noise. The wall of noise production rocks, it's definitely more of a headbang, fist pump, and destroy furniture type of record than anything they've done. The vocals are much deeper and angrier, they sound more like a distorted roar than a scream.
I wouldn't call them emo now at all, more like a space rock influenced hardcore band. You can hear influences from Will Haven and Cave In, but those bands are fucking amazing, so it's not a bad thing at all.
This is easily the best Poison the Well album since The Opposite of December, and with time it might replace that as my favorite Poison the Well album.
In fact, this is the first negative comment I've seen about this album. Finally Poison the Well have started to experiment with their sound, even playing harmonica in one song. It's about goddamn time.
