New Slayer album cover... (+ general discussion on new Slayer album/EP - Mod)

For the love of god (or satan or whatever) its just a picture. I'd be much more interested in actually hearing the music from the album (holy shit!), especially as I'm a big Slayer fan, and have found a place in my heart for all the stuff they've done.
Obviously the Reign In Blood/ South Of Heaven/ Seasons period is the best, especially if you like thrash metal, which is what Slayer excel at.
However, I don't think it's a bad thing they have included nu-metal influence (and it's only on God Hates Us All), because it made Slayer even more aggressive, and Slayer have always been the angry end of metal.
In terms of the new album, the ideal would be Slayer style late 80's thrash with more recent style, more aggressive vocals, although I hold out little chance of it happening.
I'll also repeat my previous question- when he fuck is it out?

Not necessarily, I often prefer Show No Mercy.

True, but as i said, the RiB to SitA era is the peak for the thrash stuff, which is what most people (that I know) listen to Slayer for. I personally also love Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits, the latter especially for the odd death metal sections.

I may be burnt at the stake for this, but... I liked God Hates Us All! *runs away*

*runs back again* Cover art is a bit meh, but if the music turns out decent I really don't give a fuck! :p

Are you kidding ?

Slayer have not released anything good since seasons(1990), what makes you think it's going to be good or that slayer are the masters of metal or even up there anymore. Judas Priest and Maiden are older and still release kick ass oldschool metal albums to this day unlike slayer.

fuck slayer really.

A-fuckin-Men.

Listen to South of Heaven, please.

I have a friend, he's a real friggin prog head, Genesis is his favorite band, this is like the only heavy album he's bought and he freakin LOVES it. Says something there. I'm trying to think of the second song off that album, the thing fucking slays. Maybe it's the third, lol...:goggly:

what's so good about Crionics? Hardly one of the stand out tracks when you've got Evil Has No Boundaries, The Antichrist, CHEMICAL WARFARE. In fact most of the other tracks!

Chemical Warfare is on "Haunting the Chapel" FYI. Crionics is AWESOME. It has that long harmony guitar section that is almost as if lifted from the first Maiden or Angel Witch album and it fucking RULES.
