Exactly. I think with Slayer either you get them or you don't. Personally, I like them and think they Kick Ass live. They are kind of like AC/DC, in that you know what you are going to get when you buy one of their releases. Playing Devil's Advocate here: I can see where someone can get tired of the "same old breakneck rhythms and solos" and the thinking that the anger is "forced". Anyway, do I like some Slayer albums more than others? Yes. But I've liked all their releases since Reign in Blood. The new song isn't nothing spectacular, but is typical Slayer. It reminded me of Seasons In the Abyss meets War Ensemble meets Mandatory Suicide, (if that makes sense). However, I do not like them touring with Marilyn Manson and Bleeding Through. I"ve seen them play with Fear Factory, Mastodon, & Killswitch Engage(I don't like KSE but they're better than Manson). I'd much rather see Slayer with Mastodon, Fear Factory, Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Shadows Fall, etc...well hell almost anybody other than Manson( & Trivium

What I want from Slayer is pure energy with typical slayer-riffs, stupid meaningless solos, fast and groovy drum themes, no melodic vocals.
One of the best shows I've ever seen was a Slayer gig, in 2002, it was raining heavily, there was a lot of lightning around us, it was sooo beautiful and they played raining blood, it was sime kind of musical orgasm, hehe

slayer should just spend thier time touring and playing stuff off the old albums instead of releasing new shit. its tarnishing the reputation of thier early material. and this new song is fucking terrible.
Tell me about it. And Dave Lombardo needs to start practicing on his own time again, I don't want to see him pull off another incident like the Raining Blood fuck-up at the Unholy Alliance show in Worcster. Terrible. uke:
