I remember reading from an interview a while back that Soilwork recorded 25 songs from The Living Infinite sessions. What happened to the other 5 songs, you ask? Here they are!

The band has posted that this is an asia exclusive (figures) for now and they don't know if/when it's going to go to the rest of the world. I ordered a copy for a pretty reasonable price from eBay, so that would be your best bet.

The EP is awesome! When they first announced that TLI was a double album, I was a little worried, generally that means filler. But when it came out, I was surprised how constantly good all the songs were. Then they release a cd of the few songs that did not make it and goddamn if they are not amazing too. This band really is hitting on all cylinders.

IMO the EP is more "out there" compared to the rest of the songs on TLI. It took me a few listens, but I enjoy it and am interested to see where Soilwork goes from here.

Still waiting for that live DVD.

I see why these songs did not make the cut (one sounds like it would have been more at home on the next Night Flight Orchestra album), but I am glad they released them.

Agreed. They're "risky" for Soilwork, but they're also great tunes. I had the same concerns about a double album, and the same reaction. I can see why these got cut, but it's certainly not because they weren't quality.

Don't know if $20 for 5 songs is reasonable.:goggly:

$21 was worth it for those 5 songs to this guy. Imports are not for the average fan...never have been. I'm a pretty serious Soilwork fan, though, so...not a big deal to me. I REALLY want this sucker.

Depends on how big a fan of Soilwork you are. If it was released in the US, i'd agree that $20 was too much, but it's an Asia-exclusive, or at least the CD version is. I heard the songs are on iTunes now, but i'll be damned if I pick digital over a hard copy. I've bought japanese imports of albums I already own for more than the price of this EP, so you could say that i've spent $30+ for 1 or 2 songs.

I'm fairly sure The Living Infinite has gradually become my favorite Soilwork disc over the last few years...so I guess I have to check out this EP...
