New song : Eastern Thought (a title that means nothing...)

Hi here it's a new song that I wrote and recorded. I used a Schecter C7 Hellraiser and a Randall RG50TC.



It's not the final so I need advices from other people.

Pretty cool track but the entire mix sounds like I'm listening to it through a 3-foot length of PVC pipe. Is there anything weird going on with the mastering EQ? Like a huuuge scoop?

woah this is weird :| i literally have no idea where to start with this mix. the guitars, you just need to start from scratch, they sound super weird

But in fact I think that shitty sound comes from guitars, I'll try to record them again with different mic position !

Yeah man, there's just something odd about those guitars. Definitely try a different mic position. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the Randall sound but try micing right where the dust cap meets the cone about an inch or two back from the grille cloth.

In fact I don't use the speaker of the Randall I have a Madison Isocab where I put an Eminence Delta 12. And which position would you suggest for a SM57 and a E906 ?
