New Steve Howe Spectrum On Philadelphia Radio Tonight

Join the GAGLIARCHIVES, Saturday night at 10pm Eastern
Time, for program 904, as we feature an exclusive interview with
Philadelphia artist and ongoing project Alon, as he plays in our
studios. Alon has appeared in many different incarnations over the
last 14 years on our program, First as Bag, a zany, Zappaesque, eight
piece theatrical rock group featuring costumes, extravagant set
designs and surreal banter between the vampish Mrs. Bag and her
insignificant other Mr. Bag (aka Alon). In 1990 they released Happy
Family on Great Egg Records. Later in the mid 1990's, Alon returned
with the project entitled no1uno, a favorite on our program. Persian
Butterfly, Alon's first CD from 2002, serves as instrumental
interludes between the lyrically powerful songs in his live
performances. It is an ornately textured production of six and
twelve string acoustic guitar compositions immersed in swirling and
starkly inventive effects. Alon will join us to talk about the
forthcoming album The Artist Manifesto. It's also a literary
doctrine, a proclamation challenging the sacred, romantic ideal of
the struggling artist. http://www.alon.tv
