New Sum 41

I was cranking some kick ass punk and metal on vinyl last night.

Dutchy - I know you like a lot of punk, so I might try and send a tape of some of this vinyl to you. the production will be bad but at least you can listen and see if you like some of the bands b4 you purchase any CD's.

Cincy - Sublime wouldn't exist if the Clash never did  just had to poke fun because I used to go to a bar that played Sublime all the fucking time, they're a good band and recorded at my college and I didn't even know it. Damn.
I appreciate the offer , but I don't have a tapedeck!! I 've thrown it all away!!
I still have a shitload of vinyls and I can't decide what to do with it, sell or store??

I hear ya on the tapes. They get old and warped after awhile. Anyway I have one stereo that plays vinul in the house and I'm thing about getting another because I some old shit that might be out of print and\or unavailable on CD. Besides the fact that vinul is fun.

I like the first single... they get progressively heavier on every disc. I didn't like the first two aside from the pain for pleasure bits, but I really liked the last one.

I picked up the new Donnas... haven't had a chance to listen yet. Both bands are in the new issue of Revolver... its scary to see how much they aged iin just two years since they're last releases. Those tours must have been more grueling then they let on.

I'll give you Pennywise and Bad Religion, but can't agree on the rest. My band opened for MEST last June, actually.
melodie is the key!!!
I think MEST put up a hell of a live show, I know my list is pretty pop. What about:

Divit
Glasseater
Only Crime
Social D
The Vandals
The Dwarves
HazenSt
dagNasty
rancid
Transplants

Social Distortion is cool. Hitler Bad, Vandals Good is one of my favorite albums. My band is called, Blackice. Our main influences are 311, Tool, Incubus, Sepultura (at least the drumming that I throw in is), Bad Religion, etc. I can't really classify us because our influences are so broad. We're opening for Hoobastank next month in Milwaukee. Oh, and Dag Nasty is kinda cool. Their old singer sings in ALL now. That's the Descendents with a different singer, in case you didn't know.

Here some punk and Hardcore bands for you.

7 Seconds, Youth Brigade, Wasted Youth, DI, Agression

GBH, Discharge, Broken Bones

and for fun Murphy's Law (sort of a pre-cursor to what Sublime would be in the 90s)
