Hot on the heels of the successful live DVD and CD from RING OF FIRE, Mark is set to release his most diverse and creative solo album yet on October 23. Entitled "Edge Of The World", the new album is very much a melodic hard rock album, whilst utilizing progressive, some neo-classical and classic rock influences.
Featuring a powerhouse line-up of both well known faces and fresh talent, "Edge Of The World" benefits from the contributions of keyboardist Erik Norlander (Lana Lane, Rocket Scientists), drummers Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath) and Virgil Donati (Ring Of Fire, Planet X), and a smorgasbord of six string (and seven string!) talent through appearances by guitar masters Tony MacAlpine, Chris Brooks, Neil Citron, and Jeff Kollman! Bass guitar and additional rhythm guitar duties were handled by Mark himself.
Produced by Mark and expertly engineered by Erik Norlander and Neil Citron, "Edge Of The World" will be released in Japan on October 23 though Marquee Inc, and in other territories shortly after! The album will feature twelve songs plus a Japanese bonus track.
For those of you who don't know who Chris Brooks is, he is one of Australia's premier guitarists (check him out at www.chrisbrooks.net). Neil Citron is Steve Vai's engineer, and he is also a Favored Nations guitarist.
