New Symphony X track available for download! KING OF TERRORS!

Wow, that's weird since everyone i've talked to about it say it's fantastic. Well each to his/her own.
The new song kicks ass! Darker than i was expecting, and one riff sounds very Pantera-like. I'm looking forward to the new album.

Hmm.. Is it me or does Romeo recycle A LOT of riffs and solo licks? Just like they took a bunch of parts from the whole Devine wings CD and made it into communion and the oracle. Well, anyway I like it. Just seems very similar to V.

That's fucking cool.

How much does that start riff sound like pantera?

This is cool stuff, i'd say it's even as good as V, which is a hard thing to acheive.

You know what?

About Russel's voice... i loved his work from V, and this is killer.

It reminds me of the agressive voice fromearly Iced Earth with barlow... can't remember the song exactly... But it's very very cool.

I love the agressive voice thing, it rules.

They aren't anything like dream theater at all dude... that's just your brainwashed attitude cutting into your logic.

The only reason i would ever listen to DT is the guitars, and even then it doesn't phase me particularily much.... Wheras, Symphony X has cool riffs, an awesome singer (*cough*unlikedt*cough*) and they've got some cool tunes and a dark atmosphere happening... so... *shrug*

To each his own i guess.

Yeah, this song isn't the greatest Symphony X song... try EGYPT instead.

Agreed. That's ignorance.

I downloaded another Symphony X song called "Inferno (Unleash The Fire)"... and I think it is much better than the already excellent "King Of Terrors". It's even heavier... and it's incredibly fast... has a mindblowingly complex riff... more aggressive "harsh" vocals from Russell... and a huge chorus.

I think that will be the last song I download... I want the album to be fresh when I purchase it.

Yeah, Inferno is absolutely killer... that first riff is just amazing...

And when exactly did Dream Theater release something good... 1993, 1994 something like that?
