New throwdown is the tits!

General statement not aimed at anyone in particular: Good music or not, you cannot deny that this sounds nearly identical to Pantera.

I love the comments on their myspace, though. Someone said they were like Lamb of God + Pantera.

LoG + Pantera basically = Pantera, for all intents and purposes.

again, i do like it. i need to hear good music and whether it's original or derivative is not as much a concern to me as whether it's good or bad. i never once stated that i disagreed with your assessment of it's originality. we also seem to agree on it's quality... as you said, "it rocks".

ill agree with that.

I think this song was great!

Yeah, it was VERY Pantera'ish, but since there is no Pantera anymore, and Anselmo sounds like a drunken bear nowdays, this is a great substitute.

Hell yeah, I gotta put some Vulgar Display of Power on

you'd have to be pretty stupid / have the memory of a fish to not judge music by the other music you've heard before, sub-consciously or otherwise.
so which stupid people on here said they can't remember what pantera sounds like, or that they didin't realize implicitly that this track sounds very "pantera"? i re-read all the posts and couldn't find one. i think we have all firmly established that it sounds very much like Pantera and also that some of us like it despite of that and some of us hate it because of that.

You know.... I wish more bands would sound like Pantera because I'm sic of hearing blast beats with what sounds like a wounded bear on top. No offense!
I've spent 20 years trying to do something original, and just when I think I got it "crap! someone did it argg" eventually I'm gonna have to stick my guitar & keyboard up someone's ass and see what that sounds like.... but I'm sure someone probably tried it already.

The Simpsons did it!

I like it and am proud to say that I listen to bands that sound like other bands. I seriously don't get why people get pissed when a band sounds simular to another band. Nobody is original anymore everyone sounds like "insert band they are similar to here".

Who cares it's not direct copying.

I also could give two shits if a band sounds like another band. As long as its good and still kicks ass then sweet, even more of these:rock:

There are some pretty sick sounding carcass clones out there that i definitely don't mind.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I love unoriginal music exclusively or anything.

calm down.

Meh, I like it anyway. i checked out their bio on the label website and it's still the one from the vendetta album roll out. Even then their own bio stated their sound being like Pantera, so I'm sure the band doesn't mind the comparisons.
