New Track... How do i get the boom down on the guitars.. its killing me

Hey guys.. Just finished tracking a song for one of the bands... they're more in the lines of ABR, AILD.... They wanted to retain that heaviness but thnx to that i've got some major boom on the guitars which i'm not able to clear out... any help or opinions would be appreciated.... thnx

yes... the guitars have been HP'ed at 50 HZ.... they've been quad tracked... a Mesa Boogie and 5150 combination...

I tried doin that.. but that totally kills the guitars.. i'm using the PODFARM plugin.. Pod anyways sounds so thin.. so i figured that'll totally kill the sound... but will try it again..

i find taking a -3db notch out at around 150hz can help

Highpass up to 100 like was already mentioned, but use a more gradual roll off instead of a steep one.

since there is the really low end I'm not really sure, so I really have to ask: Is there a bass guitar in this mix?
