The stuff in the op is at least as metal as Dokken and such. Maybe Bon Jovi had a more metal album I'm unaware of like the first two Europe albums, but I'm pretty sure you guys are exaggerating.

And yes, those songs are no less metal than most of Defenders' B-side.

Runaway is the most metal thing I've heard by Bon Jovi, but I've never heard a song by them other than hit singles. I actually quite like those first to Europe albums. They verge on metal and are about as metal as a lot of the less ferocious NWOBHM stuff.

i was exaggerating, but claims that people only disliked it 'cause of the production kind of deserved an extra dose of antagonism. and ya, the 'finale' of DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH is fucking terrible. i do kind of have a penchant for 'love bites' though, super gay though it is
