Voivod was always totally underrated imho. The latest album is pretty good. Nice to see the old gang back together (well, mostly... with Jason Newsted on bass though). I didn't like their last singer too much.
It's nice to see the Newkid with a band that wouldn't sell the corn out of their mom's shit to make an extra dollar!

When Jason was selected to replace Cliff I thought it was a good choice. He did some good work with Flotsam & Jetsam. I guess Metallica's lameness finally became unbearable for him and now he's in Voivod. He also played with another band post-Selloutica but I don't remember their name off the top of my head. Obviously neither band has or will ever share the success Metallica has but I think it's great Jason said screw it and decided to start playing good music again. Much respect for him.

voivod are better off on 2nd stage. that is where the only good bands have been the last few years. Hell with the main stage at ozzfest where you have to be around seats and pay 70 bucks for your seat.
