NHL lockout :(

Yeah I heard about how many people that work at all the bars and restaurants around the NBA arenas [likely the same places] and about how much damage they were dealing with with the shortened season alone.... shit sucks.

GET IT RIGHT, NHL!

One NHL GM went off the record and said the owners are watching all the players sign overseas instead of sticking around to support the NHLPA and are using that as a reason to push harder against the players. "See? They're running overseas for a check as soon as they're locked out, they only want as much money as possible, we're right, let's screw them even more!"

Ha. The players can't even practice at their rinks, so what are they supposed to do? And if the lockout is canceled, of course they'll come back at once disregard the contracts with other leagues.

This is terrible. I just don't understand why the owners will not negotiate and it had to come to this? I feel like, if anything, it would be hurting them. loss in advertising, attendance and sponsorship. Is it just an ego thing?
