Saxon are hoping to make Roskilde as well as the more traditional metal-fests. They feel the 100000 crowd would expose them to a new audience.

The band regard each other as family.

They have no plans to slow down this year. Rather the opposite, continuing to build on the recent resurgence in their popularity.

He was a fan just like us and was supprised and delighted to get the job.

Promoters were harrasing them when ticket sales were initially slow, but are now delighted with many full-houses, hence HMT tour part two.

I did try not to badger the guy though and most of the conversation was just a good laugh, not Saxon related.

What a thoroughly nice bloke! And a damm good bassist!
 
Yeah Nibbs is a great guy! I met him when Saxon came over to the US for the Killing Ground tour. He's got a great sense of humor and hung out with the fans outside the bus for 2 hours.
