Nightwish DVD - What's going on?

Okay, this is soo stupid!

Yesterday I read this thread and envied everyone who has their hands on a copy of this and has seen it.

Yesterday NIGHT a band down here all bought it for me (DVD/CDs) as a "thank you" for promoting them and this and that.....

1- None of my DVD players play it.
2- My computer's speakers don't work.
3- Since this was released I've been dying to get it and watch it.

I now own it, and I can't even see it!!!!!!!!!!

If you can get to the audio set up on the DVD, make sure it isn't set for 5.1 if your PC either doesn't have 5.1 Surround, or doesn't support it. There should be a stereo option there. I don't have the DVDs, but it's just a semi-educated guess...

I highly recommend the Philips DVP642. You can get this player for around $50 nowadays. I've had it for over a year. My boyfriend actually has it at his place because his old player wouldn't play a lot of the horror movies he was getting off ebay. It has the bonus feature of being able to burn mpg & avi files directly to a cd/dvd to play it w/o any conversions being needed. I use it for a lot of the anime I grab since the majority of it is in avi format. Much nicer to watch on a tv than sit at my computer to watch them all the time.

Empress, there are players out there that will play these DVDs. Take Fatesfan's advice. They're inexpensive as well.
