A couple of extracts to whet yer appetite
Get yerself a copy of the magazine (its only UK£3.50!). Those in London can certainly get one from a Borders (Oxford Street and Charing Cross Road), but I know that distribution elsewhere can be a bit sketchy.
Otherwise order a copy from the ed - email him at mark@powerplaymagazine.co.uk

A couple of extracts to whet yer appetite
sheesh - most of the albums were unavailable in the UK until June or July 2003, no wonder the fuckin' sales were zero! We all bought our copies on-line!!Q:Talking of gigs, what at Tuomas's memories of , and which of the two shows they did last year (Bloodstock and the Mean Fiddler in London) did the band enjoy more?
A:"Oh," smiles Tuomas, "they were both incredible! It was the first time we ever got to go to the UK and from what we had been told by our label, we had absolutely no sales in the UK at all, so it was just amazing to see so many people singing along to our songs. The Mean Fiddler was sold out, it was awesome! It was even better for me than Bloodstock, personally speaking. We were all blown away by our first UK experience, so maybe there really is a chance for us in the UK ..."
I am about to say 'amen to that' when Tuomas adds softly "Because before those two shows, we had almost given up hope"
Tuomas does want to make one thing clear to the band's UK fans: "We will be back to see you all again, and it will be within the next year," he adds emphatically.
There's also an interesting bit where Mr Gausden asks Tuomas about the tricky subject of the backing tapes used to bolster Tarja's voice. Nice one Simon! Finally I ask him if he has a message for the readers of Powerplay.
"Absolutely. I wish that we had even a bigger continuous following for this kind of music in the UK. Since coming over and playing for you, I have changed my mind about your country in this way. DOn't take this wrong, but I never thought that we had any hope in the UK, but after the two shows that we did, we thought "Okay, this place has potential". So please keep going on this way, and we'll see you on tour in summer 2004!"
