yeah, to me it went downhill when Dallas was made the main vocalist, don't like his voice at all, Vesano and Chief were so much better vocalists, and Karl's voice is excellent if it's used sparingly (as it is). I do like the drum sound on this album, and these songs aren't bad, but definitely nothing like the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka, that album kicks so much ass it's unmeasurable

production wise i like "Annihilation of the Wicked" the most. Nice guitars and bass. I´m no huge fan of piccolo snares but love it here:

the messiness or whatever you want to call it is what I love about it. not all styles, even in death metal, are better when played ultra tight and seperated imo.
all NILE records prior to Annhililation Of The Wicked are what I'd call organic and atmospheric which is what I prefer in this case by a longshot.
