I can see that. I couldn't get into those bands because of the vocals, but I started listening to Death (Leprosy) and I loved it (it took some time though) now most of the bands that I like are Death metal. But if you try and you can't get into it, that's not your style of music.

It was just too unmelodic for my taste, I guess. I'm more or less a lyrics fanatic, so I kinda want to hear what the guy who is doing the stuff is saying as well.

It's true what they say though.. If you listen to some stuff you aren't used to it will eventually make sense.

You really should check out the new album with the lyricbook in front of you then. They are very detailed lyrics, ancient chants, and all of the lyrics have very in depth explanations as well.

But if the vocals turn you off, then you weren't meant to "get" death metal.
