still no NYC date confirmed for the tour... does this mean there will be none in NYC this time? please not... I know they wrote more dates to be confirmed on their website, but I am very nervous about this...

It was scheduled for Irving PLaza nad now they're saying TBA. I fucking hope it's at Irving Plaza, cuz I don't feel like going Upstate or Philadelphia, I guess Lamour would be fine too.

Whatever place BUT Lamours! Lamours has the worst sound and the biggest bouncer assholes in town... i despise that place

plus they crowd it so much with their excuse of 2 stages. At the end of the day there are 5 kids looking at the local stage and the whole main stage room is so packed it takes you 15 minutes to get to the restrooms or what not. It sux

i'm sure it will be Irving Plaza, it just needs to be confirmed.

this is what I will consider if they skip NYC, but as it will cost me an extra 34 bucks(train round-trip) and a whole day, I doubt I will go for this plan even if they do skip NYC.

There's gotta be a NYC area date. I guess they just can't confirm the venue yet. Lamour is too small for Opeth, the've sold out Irving Plaza twice before. I'm hoping they won't schedule something in NJ instead (Birch Hill closed down, but I've heard they opened another place).

Why don't they (Opeth) just play at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY..The Chance is a nice spacious theatre with great sound, good site lines, a pit for dancing and a balcony area with bars. There are four (smaller) venues adjoined to The Chance Entertainment Complex.The Chance in Poughkeepsie is only 90 minutes north of NYC and an hour south of Albany..It would be great to see Opeth play at an intimate venue like The Chance.
