Yep I noticed too. They're not coming to San Francisco, San Jose, or even Sacramento.
More dates could be announced, but I don't see how they'd fit it, unless they scheduled a date for the 16th of March, when they're still on the west coast. There's no show scheduled for that date right now.
However, they have a show in Tulsa, OK on the 17th. I don't think it's logistically possible for them to travel the nearly 1800 miles between SF and Tulsa with the 18-19 (at most) hours travel time they'd have, unless they and all their equipment went by air (they'd need to avg about 95 MPH). No idea if that's a 'normal' thing for bands or not (to ship the whole tour by air). I always figured they toured on the bus (most the time), with support vehicles hauling the band's equipment and supplies (all the time). But what do I know

.
Anyway, unless they add another special date on the tour, or come back for another leg, looks like they're skipping NorCal

.
Boo!
When Opeth were here back in October 2005 at the Fillmore in SF, I clearly remember Mike A on stage saying, "We'll be back in February".
I suppose I could head down to LA, but it's 300 miles away. Pretty far, but I'm sure others drive as far or farther to see a band. Maybe we're just spoiled ?
Having said that, there are 8 Million+ people in the SF Bay Area. Seems a pretty significant market to skip. I don't believe any of the posts about Mike or the Band saying they don't like SF. Seems ridiculous to me.
Oh well. Hopefully we'll get a show here. If not, I'm sure it wasn't for lack of the band and management trying. Sometimes venues are just booked up, etc, and they can't fit it into their schedule when they're in the area. Although, between Sac, San Jose, Oakland, and SF, and all the other towns in the area, there are quite a few venues I would think would be appropriate. Who knows.
I guess I should be happy we got a show in October, but somehow I think I'll feel cheated if we don't get one on this outing.
<fingers crossed>
