UFO ANNOUNCE "STAND-IN" BASSIST FOR APRIL/MAY TOUR DATES:
UFO announced recently that the US Embassy in London had turned down bassist Pete Way's application for a working visa - even though the respective authorities in the US homeland had already approved it. At that time the band started to make arrangements for a bass player to stand in for Pete on their USA tour dates. They have since posted the following update:
"With Pete having been denied a working visa to the USA the bass player who will be standing in for Pete on the April/May tour dates will be Rob De Luca.
Rob De Luca is the bassist/backing vocalist in the Sebastian Bach Band. Rob has also toured and/or recorded in Helmet, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, George Lynch (Dokken/Lynch Mob), Mike Chlasciak (Halford, Painmuseum), Spread Eagle, Of Earth, Ouijipig, and has recorded for Grammy winning Producer Of The Year Steve Lillywhite."

I think Pete has had some drug issues here in the US in his past.
It's quite hard to speculate without knowing at least some of the facts. Same thing with VP. I heard everything from "mouthing off to a customs person" to "incorrect forms & paperwork".

No offense to Pete, but he is the bass player. I can live without him. I like Phil's voice, and have never seen UFO before. I'm all over this tour.

When the tour was 1st announced I planed on going to the show in Santa Cruz. But for my wife's Birtday I bought here tickets 2 Celtic Woman at the Orpheum Theatre, San Francisco, CA on May 3rd. So that cancelled me out. I work Sundays so S.F. show is out too.

Will still be a good show without Pete but I was looking forword to seeing Andy & Pete together on stage again. Along with Paul & Phil you have 4 out of the 5 members who recorded Strangers In The Night, A Classic Live album!!

its the cover of the first rolling stones album. i might change it because its kinda dark. i'll leave it for a few weeks though

edit. i changed it to the beggars banquest album cover. the other was just too dark on here. its because the avatars on here are 100x100 instead of 200x200 like on the megadeth forum
