Madonna pulls her new video, "out of respect for armed forces".

Madonna has decided to withdraw the video for her new single "American Life" which has been the subject of rumors and misinformation.

The artist released the following statement:

" I have decided not to release my new video. It was filmed before the war started and I do not believe it is appropriate to air it at this time. Due to the volatile state of the world and out of sensitivity and respect to the armed forces, who I support and pray for, I do not want to risk offending anyone who might misinterpret the meaning of this video."

I saw a short preview of her new video. It looks pretty damn cool. All I can remember was Madonna's in an army fatigue doing her dance moves in a hallway, the music video is similar to Die Another Day.

i didn't find her last 2-3 records to be special at all, actually. too many silly influences that subtracted from the brilliance of her voice. but surely her videos have (almost) always shown class.

I think Madonnas "style of the month" is really cool now, not that I personaly care, but because it clashes so totaly with the mood in the US right now.

First it's the French. She looks clearly Frech and they are not very popular in the US right now, to say the least. What´s the name of that French girl who was kidnapped by communist terrorist in the 70ts and later joined their side? Madonna looks like here on the new album cover.

Second, even thogh the video was recorded befor the Iraq war it takes a clear stand against US foreign politics.
