Well, we can say the same about the entire political establishment of the United States. The Republicans for example, the neo-cons were former left wing Trotskyites, vehemently opposed to the Vietnam war, but radical hawks for the Iraq war, and agitation for war against Iran. That is strange, but that is the reality.
